Maryland Family Photographer | Spring Family Fun

This was such a laid-back, nostalgic family session. Even though it was an overcast evening, the sun peeked out just enough to cast a warm glow across the vibrant green field and bright yellow flowers. Spring has sprung, and we had a great time relaxing in its beauty. There was still a chill in the air the evening of our session, but the kids (and Dad!) were such good sports with their yummy lollipops in hand.

I’ve photographed both of these kids since they were newborns so they are used to my camera. They are absolutely precious! I’ve loved watching them grow. I can never get enough of their bright blue eyes and sweet smiles. There’s something about being outdoors that is just calming to the soul, and this little brother and sister duo had a blast exploring the new territory. I snapped lots of beautiful images as they waded through the flowers and swayed on the fun swing. They were full of energy, as kids their age are. The candid ones of families just being themselves together are always my favorites. I have so many images that I love from their session.

Mom and Dad had huge smiles on their faces and this is what it is all about. I had to make sure to get a few updated couple’s shots for them, too! We all know how easy it is to take photos of the kids often but not seem to find time for ourselves. When the opportunity arises, I always encourage couples to take advantage of it! You’ll be so glad you did. I love that they took time to create these memories of themselves and for their family.
