A Birthday Girl in the flowers | Maryland Cake Smash Photographer

Birthdays are so much fun! The photo sessions, the parties, the milestone celebrations – all of it! We had the sweetest session for this birthday girl. This little princess looked like a doll baby. Mom requested a floral theme and the pearls and tutu made it all come together. Sure enough, the birthday girl was too preoccupied with the flowers, toys, pearls, and cake to even notice the beautiful backdrop.

Her pre-cake, one-year portraits were taken in a pretty white dress. She looked like a little angel as she sat there playing on the floor. She has such gorgeous eyes and hair! I just let her do her thing, prompting her to look up every once in a while, while I snapped away. She was such a great little model.

After her photos before the cake, it was time to celebrating with a lovely cake from Growing Foods Baking. The great thing about this unique cake? It was gluten free, vegan, allergy friendly, and still decorated with pretty pink icing and looked perfect for our set up. Baby girl loved it! 

After eating as much cake as she could get her hands on, we plopped her in a gorgeous floral milk bath to clean off. It was so perfectly dreamy and whimsical and photographed beautifully! I will definitely be doing more of these milk bath portraits. We captured some adorable bathtub photos of her splashing and playing with the flowers. She had so much fun that she didn’t want to get out!
