Maryland Outdoor Maternity Photography

Becoming a mama or adding another child to your family is such a beautiful time that is totally worth documenting! I hear so many moms say “my pregnancy went by too fast” and “I actually kind of miss being pregnant.” Even if you are a pregnant mama and feel miserable, you can’t deny the true miracle it is to grow your little one. It really is an amazing 9 months! As a maternity photographer, I LOVE having maternity sessions outdoors in our beautiful surrounding area. There are so many great locations to meet up for a fun and casual session outdoors!  Here are a few images from outdoor maternity sessions in the Bethesda and Rockville, Maryland area.

Outdoor maternity sessions offer creative freedom and the use of glowing natural light when shot during that golden hour before sunset. Don’t worry if you don’t get a sunny day, overcast days can produce soft, even lighting and create sweet portraits just the same. There are so many possibilities with an outdoor session when you are in nature. We can walk around to change up the background and color scheme to meet the vision of our clients. It is so fun for us to honor specific requests outdoors from classic and casual to more revealing and artistic. 

Outdoor maternity sessions are available April through November.

Moms are welcome to bring their own wardrobe, but we also offer a variety of gorgeous maternity gowns and are adding to our collection all the time. Maternity gowns allow you to show off that belly in different styles and looks. It’s a great excuse to dress up, feel beautiful, and document this fleeting time with your baby on the way.
