Maryland Photographer | Newborn Session for One Week Old Baby Boy

This family joined us for a newborn portrait session shortly before we closed the studio due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While I’ve so missed being in the studio, it has given me time to reflect on how grateful I am to be able to do what I do. Being able to capture beautiful moments in time for countless families is such a blessing. And while days spent editing might seem long, it is such a joy to see the smile that these photographs bring to my client’s faces. I feel so incredibly blessed to truly understand Marc Antony’s famous quote: “If you love what you do, you’ll never have to work a day in your life.”

Simply Sweet

Okay, back to this sweet family and their adorable son! Mom and Dad wanted a classic and simple portrait session with some pictures of just their newborn and some pictures of them holding him in a sweet swaddle. But once they saw this sweet puppy dog hat, they knew they had to get a picture or two of him wearing it! He looks so precious all bundled up in his swaddle wearing that hat. His little stacked hands are just so cute!

And can we talk about the picture of him sleeping and resting his head on the miniature pillow? How sweet and whimsical! We ended the session with taking some classic baby pictures of this baby boy. Simple portraits like this are always so sweet and timeless!

This little guy did so well and slept through his entire session so peacefully. Mom and Dad were so excited to get all the poses they wanted. We were so grateful to have such a lovely session!
