A Baby Love event for expecting moms
In July we hosted our Baby Love Event at the studio! This event was perfect for expecting moms to pop into the studio for some relaxation, mocktails, and of course a photograph of their beautiful bump. Every mother deserves some pampering so we had makeup, sweet treats, yummy food, and goodie bags filled with fun stuff to pamper them! They were able to connect with other local moms, choose from our client closet of gowns, and receive a timeless maternity image on our classic background to share with family and friends, and of course their sweet baby!
In addition to meeting so many new people, one of the most exciting parts for me personally was the support form our local community of businesses! We had amazing partners help make this event a success. During the event Valerie Hammer Makeup Artistry gave each Mom a camera ready makeover for their portrait. She was amazing and tailored the makeup so that each women looked absolutely glowing and gorgeous. Professional makeup is so important to make you look special but more importantly feel special for your photos. When you feel good, it shows!
I wanted this to be a time when expecting mothers could get away for a bit and enjoy some girl time with other mamas. I know how hard it is to find time for yourself when you’re growing a little one, taking care of family, and working, too! I was so excited to bring in vendors who could help pamper these ladies with delicious food, self-care, and more! There were lots of tasty snacks to munch on (we know that growing a baby makes you hungry!) and plenty of time to chat with new friends and vendors. Moms were sent home with a full goodie bag and a special discount on newborn sessions. We were so happy to have such a great turnout – we all had a blast chatting and relaxing. Just what everyone needed.
We had local experts, Fit 4 Mom Montgomery and Family Ways Doulas chatting about fitness, nutrition and all things pre-and post pregnancy. They were so informative and really connected with the guests to answer questions and provide information. Plus we had swag bags, giveaways, and sweet treats provided by the best businesses in the area including Sweet DC, Growing Foods Baking Co, Austyn Parker Jewelry, Orderly Method, Baby Proofing Montgomery, Nutrition by Natalie, and talented Nursery Mural Artist Nancy. I am so grateful for all of these amazing mom-bosses!
It was such a pleasure to meet all of these amazing mamas and hear their stories. I’m excited for each of their families as they welcome a new member home in just a few short months (or even weeks!), and I hope to see some of them back in the studio to meet their little ones and watch their families grow.
