A Fun & Formal Family Session | Maryland Family Photographer

Can a photoshoot really be both fun and formal? Absolutely! And this session is perfect proof of that. This adorable family of four joined us in the studio for some updated portraits. They looked so gorgeous in their complementary formal attire. Mom did a fantastic job of picking outfits that coordinated well without being overly matchy. The boys looked great in their suits and the ladies were so pretty in their dresses. So, if you need some wardrobe inspiration for you upcoming family portraits, this is a great one to check out!

Documenting Memories

I love that we did something just a little different for this family’s session! Dressing up made it extra special and fun. This family was so relaxed to work with, and it was easy to settle into a good groove. They brought such a great energy to the studio. They’re all so photogenic, and even the kiddos were great sports and had a good time posing for the camera.

Even though they weren’t dressed in casual every-day clothing, they looked so natural and relaxed, a perfect reflection of their family. I love that they opted for several styles and angles that they can use for different purposes. It all has such a timeless feel.

I know at this stage in life, families are so very busy between school events, extracurriculars, and other things life continuously throws our way, but I love it when families make it a priority to update their photos. Our sweet kiddos grow up in the blink of an eye, and each year brings so many exciting changes. Scheduling a yearly family photoshoot is a great way to document the milestones and spend some fun quality time together.
